Decalogue: Ten Different Ways of Looking at… Steam

I returned to the Writing Fix today for another quick brainstorming idea. The purpose of this writing exercise is to create a decalogue (list of ten) about some topic. I picked a random noun.

  1. Rising above the pot of boiling water
  2. How Frank felt when Angela refused to pay back the $500 she owed him
  3. The way the windows fogged inside the cars along Lovers' Lane
  4. The sulfurous haze rising above the volcanic mud pools at Lassen Peak
  5. A useful feature in modern irons
  6. Reading a trashy novel on a rainy evening
  7. Where the tennis players go after a hard game on the courts
  8. The black locomotive chugging into the station
  9. A trailing runner suddenly bursting with energy to surpass the others in a race
  10. Red-hot metal plunged into a water bath
