Serena is a Time Lord. She knows the Doctor but he’s not part of her life at the moment. She has a companion, Amy, a former space ship captain from Earth. Serena is plagued by a dark, unstable streak, but she tries to do good.

Story Background

One fan fic series that I wrote was based on the BBC’s Doctor Who as well as my friend Richard Rogers’ creation, Serena. Alas, his old Renegade Timelord site is no longer online, so you can't read his massive collection of fantastic Serena stories, but maybe he’ll put them back up again someday (hint hint!). They were written during the big dry spell between classic and new Who being on TV.

I tried to write these stories so that you don’t have to know the original TV shows to enjoy them. However, here is a little background. Serena is a Timelord like the Doctor, and her companion is Amy, a human from Earth. Serena has an unstable personality, one of the reasons she fascinates me so much. Saedon, my own creation, is a new Timelord introduced in The Forgotten Riddle.

The stories are non-canon and reference classic Who stories and characters. There are references to the Doctor, who has been particularly meddlesome in Serena’s life. There are also light references to Star Trek (Who Mourns for Adonais), Voyager (Serena had previously been rescued by the crew), and Xena (who had previously been turned into an immortal and gotten mixed up with the Doctor).
